The Debus GmbH looks back on a 40 year old history as a family business. During that time we stayed true to our values which have always played an important role in our family business. In that process we as well as our products gained and enjoy a great repuation.
At this point we would like to thank all team members of the company as well as our customers, partners and suppliers that have had a positive impact on this journey.
| 1976 | Founding of the company by Mr. Hans Debus in the city Velbert. Hans Debus started out operating as a registered one-man company from his own home and garage. |
| 1981 | Opening of the plant in todays business location in Velbert. |
| 1985 | Transformation into a corporation with limited liability. Since then we have been operating under the name „DEBUS Druckluft- Vakuumtechnik GmbH“ (DEBUS Compressed Air and Vacuum Technology Ltd) |
| 1991 | Expansion of the existing plant in todays location as a reaction to continuously increasing demand of products. |
| 1992 | The first copy of our „SAUG Post“ (VACUUM-Mail) launched this year. |
| 1995 | The management of the company was transferred from Mr. Hans Debus to Mr. Hans Jochen Debus who has been leading the company successfully ever since. |
| 2001 | The year 2001 forms the anniversary year of the DEBUS GmbH. It now has been a succsessful manufacturer of industrial vacuum cleaners and extraction systems for 25 years. The products have been sold in more than 44 countries since the founding of the company. More than 60 different fields within industry have been counting on DEBUS products since then. |
| 2003 | On the foundation of many years of experience, the new product lines DES 119 and DDS 119 get successfully introduced to the market after an extensive development period as well as a thorough test phase. |
| 2004 | Hans Debus resigns from the company after 25 years and starts his well-deserved retirement. |
| 2005 | After two years of introducing the new products DES 119 and DDS 119, over 100 devices of these new product lines have been sold. |
| 2008 | The 250th device from the DES 119 and DDS 119 product lines was ordered and delivered to our satisfied customer. |
| 2012 | The 2.500th extraction system was commissioned, manufactured and delivered to the customer. |
| 2016 | Joint development project with Innogy (former RWE) regarding “the first wireless vacuum cleaner” in its class – this offers new mobility for cleaning processes. |
| 2016 | Membership in the “Schlüsselregion Velbert” (Key-Region Velbert) |
| 2016 | New member within management – Mrs. Paraskevi Debus now leads the sales department of the company. |
| Future | In the future the DEBUS Druckluft- Vakuumtechnik GmbH will keep its production location in Germany as a family-run business. Our goal for the future will continue to be orienting on our customers’ requirements as well as offering individual solutions in highest quality. |
